(LAS VEGAS, KXNT)–The man police say shoved a Metro officer off a stairwell in a confrontation this week now faces an array of charges, included attempted murder.
Randell Overstreet, described in a police report as 6’5″ and 265 pounds, allegedly shoved officer Salim Salazar off steps at an apartment complex earlier this week. After fleeing a traffic stop, Overstreet was pursued to a stairway and allegedly knocked Salazar down the steps. She fell about ten feet and landed on her back. She was hospitalized for a sprained back.
Overstreet, 55, has been charged with attempted murder, battery and drug and traffic offenses.
