(Las Vegas, NV) — Las Vegas’ most recognized homegrown athlete and the man who helped put mixed martial arts on the map are now members of the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame.
Professional tennis legend Andre Agassi and UFC President Dana White were among six inductees at the Orleans Arena Friday night.
White seemed humbled by the induction, saying no one would have believed he’d be hall of fame-worthy in his younger days. Agassi paid tribute to Las Vegas, saying the city was a place “where magic really exists.”
Also inducted were Las Vegas Motor Speedway head Chris Powell, professional golfer Stephanie Louden, high school basketball coach Bill Bobier and Las Vegas Events president Pat Christenson.
