PAHRUMP, Nev. (AP) — A 32-year-old Pahrump man who was pistol-whipped by a homeowner has been arrested on suspicion of burglary.
Nye County sheriff’s officials say a homeowner in Pahrump found a man in his garage about 3 a.m. Tuesday and tried to confront him. The man fled, and the homeowner started chasing him.
The alleged burglar eventually hit the homeowner with a flashlight, and the homeowner hit him with a gun.
Sheriff’s deputies and a K-9 who responded found the man hiding in a tree just south of the home.
He was taken to University Medical Center for injuries he received while struggling with the homeowner.
Authorities identified him as Beau Brandon Batemon. He’s been arrested on suspicion of burglary, attempted larceny and battery.
