(Carson City, NV) — The state Senate has narrowly approved a bill requiring background checks for private gun buyers.
Wednesday’s 11-to-10 vote was split along party lines, with Democrats favoring it and Republicans opposed.
Senate Bill 221 would allow licensed gun dealers to charge 30-dollars for the background checks.
The bill now goes to the Assembly.
