(Las Vegas, NV)  –  A local Red Cross volunteer is now in Moore, Oklahoma, helping victims of that town’s deadly tornadoes with food and shelter.

A spokesman for the Southern Nevada chapter tells KXNT his office is reaching out to find more volunteers, if they are needed.

Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman issued the following statement: “The city of Las Vegas sends its heartfelt sympathies and assurances of support to the people of Moore, Oklahoma, and encourages everyone in Las Vegas to follow the request of Moore Mayor Glenn Lewis to make a contribution to the American Red Cross.”

You can donate to help the tornado victims at www.RedCross.org.
