County Commissioners Avoid Budget Deficit

(Las Vegas, NV)  —  Clark County commissioners have approved a $1.2-billion budget for the new fiscal year.

It uses $41-million from the county’s reserve fund to avoid a deficit.

Officials say the budget avoids staff cuts, but property tax revenue remains below pre-recession levels.

The new budget takes effect July 1st.
