( Las Vegas, NV ) – Even more southern Nevadans are heading south to Primm over the next couple of days for what could be a near-record Powerball jackpot.
There was no winner in Wednesday night’s $360,000,000 multi-state Powerball jackpot drawing which set the stage for an even bigger jackpot for Saturday’s drawing. A Powerball spokeswoman says the prize – should someone or a group of someones win it – is over half-a-billion dollars.
It turns out the Primm outlet is one of the top sellers of lottery tickets in California. The Golden Bear state has sold $83 million worth of Powerball tickets since it started selling them in April and overall has accounted for 11 percent of the game’s sales in the country.
Nevada is one of seven states that don’t allow lotteries. The next Powerball drawing is Saturday night.
