(Las Vegas, NV) — Metro officers Russell Ellsworth and Brandon Oris shot and killed Daniel Hathorne back in November, and a fact finding review showed that they arrested him for threatening his girlfriend with the same knife he had minutes before he died.
The new fact-finding review has replaced the Clark County coroner’s inquest. The first review was held in February.
The only person in this review that was questioned was Homicide Det. Chris Bunting, who investigated the shooting. He says two butcher knives were found at the scene. A toxicology report revealed Hathorne had significant amounts of methamphetamine and other drugs in his system when he died.
