Boy Asks Officer For Badge Number After Illegally Parking Motorcycle On Sidewalk
LAS VEGAS (CBS Las Vegas) – A video has gone viral of a 12-year-old boy calling out a Las Vegas police officer for illegally parking his motorcycle.
The boy, who identifies himself as Jeremy Drew, asks the officer why he parked his vehicle on the sidewalk.
“Is it like an emergency or anything?” Drew is heard asking the officer in the video.
The officer ignores the minor, but that doesn’t stop Drew. He then asks for the officer’s badge number, which the officer does not give.
The officer questions Drew as to why the boy wants his badge number. “Because I have the right to,” Drew responds.
The officer then asks Drew for his ID, to which Drew tells him he is a minor, but gives him his name. Drew then tells the cop, “I don’t think it’s necessary for you to be parking your motorized vehicle on the sidewalk.”
He informs the officer that he’s filming the conversation and asks again for his badge number. When he declines again, Drew stop filming and walks away.
The video has been viewed nearly 3.5 million times so far on YouTube.
