(LAS VEGAS, KXNT)–A federal agent who shot and killed a suspect last year in Las Vegas has been cleared of wrongdoing by the District Attorney’s office.
A U.S. Marshall’s Office agent–Michael Cavener–shot and killed Thomas Domagala as he fled other police members of a fugitive task force following a car chase. Domagala ran directly at Cavener with a gun in his hand. Domagala was wanted in Arizona on multiple crimes and an autopsy showed he had methamphetamines in his system at the time.
D.A. Steve Wolfson says the marshall had no choice but to defend himself in the incident.
