(Las Vegas, NV) — Ammar Harris, dressed in blue jail clothes and wearing handcuffs made his first appearance at the Regional Justice Center Wednesday morning.
Harris is accused of killing three people and injuring five on the Las Vegas Strip on February 21st.
Judge Deborah Lippis asked Harris if he is aware of the eleven counts he faces. Harris affirmed the question and then was given a new public defender after a conflict was determined with the original attorney.
Tehran Bolden, the brother of the cab driver who was killed appeared in court and stared at Harris during the entire proceeding.
Harris never made eye contact with Bolden who said he had trouble fighting back the urge to attack the man he believes killed his brother, Michael. Bolden told KXNT he didn’t see any remorse coming from the accused killer.
Harris will remain in jail and appear in court for a status check on April 29th.
