(Las Vegas, NV) — Las Vegas betting guru Jimmy Vaccaro says this year’s NCAA men’s basketball tournament has been a “bookmaker’s delight.”

Vaccaro says the traffic around the Las Vegas sportsbooks has been tremendous, and just in time, since sports betting has been slow in the weeks since the Super Bowl.

The long-time oddsmaker says the deep run by schools such as La Salle and Florida Gulf Coast has also benefited bookmakers, because bettors have been attracted to the higher odds and excitement caused by the underdog teams.

Vaccaro says the tournament gives Las Vegas a great economic boost, and the heightened interest in sports betting helps not just the casinos but other businesses as well.
