Wrong-Way Driver Killed In Crash

LAS VEGAS (AP/KXNT) — One person is dead and another is injured after a wrong-way crash on U.S. 95 north of Las Vegas.

Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Jeremie Elliott says the crash happened a little after 5 a.m. Monday on the highway near Lee Canyon.

Elliott tells KXNT a gray Honda Civic was driving the wrong way in the northbound lane when it hit a white pickup truck near mile marker 101.

The driver of the Civic was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the truck was taken to University Medical Center.
