(Las Vegas, NV) — The ongoing effort to unionize workers at The Cosmopolitan could involve blocking off part of the Las Vegas Strip.

Leaders of Culinary Local 226 say they plan to block The Strip near Harmon over stalled contract talks with the hotel.

They say the “act of civil disobedience”  is set for 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The two sides have been unable to reach an agreement on wages, healthcare costs and job security for the hotel’s 2000 workers.

Neither the Cosmopolitan nor Metro Police have responded to the union’s plan.
