(Carson City, NV) – A 48-year-old Dayton woman has been arrested in a fatal hit-and-run accident involving a pedestrian in Carson City Sunday night.
The Nevada Highway Patrol says Cynthia Ann Munroe was booked into the Carson City jail on Monday on suspicion of felony hit-and-run causing death and driving on a suspended license.
The fatal crash was reported about 11 p.m. Sunday on U.S. Highway 50, in front of Whiskey Tavern.
Troopers have not released the name of the 27-old woman who was killed. She apparently was outside of a crosswalk.
Investigators say that shortly after the accident they tracked down Munroe in Dayton in a 1999 black Ford Explorer that witnesses had reported leaving the scene. They say a 14-year-old girl and boys ages 15 and 10 were passengers in her vehicle.
