The measure comes from Democratic Assemblyman Joe Hogan, who says he doesn’t smoke pot, believes “We’ve wasted a tremendous amount of money spoiling teen-agers lives, chasing them around until we can arrest them for something.” Medical marijuana is already legal in the Silver State, but the law does not give patients a way to obtain it.
