(Las Vegas, NV) — A bill that would keep mentally ill people from buying guns in Nevada is facing opposition.

Law enforcement officials support the measure, which would improve background checks to weed out buyers who have been committed to a mental facility against their will.

The NRA and a number of gun owners claim the measure would violate their Second Amendment rights.
