Las Vegas – The Runnin’ Rebels are moving on to the semi-finals of the Mountain West Conference Tournament after hammering Air Force, 72-56, in their quarterfinal match-up Wednesday at the Thomas and Mack.

All-Conference Freshman of the Year Anthony Bennett dominated the paint in the second half, scoring 19 of his game high 23 points after the break.

The big story of the game came in the first minute and a half of play when Air Force’s 1st team all-conference guard Mike Lyons went down with an apparent knee injury and didn’t return.

The Rebels advance to the semi-final game against Colorado St. on Friday at 8:30 p.m.
