(Las Vegas, NV) — Downtown Las Vegas’ cultural center is now one-year-old.

The Smith Center for the Performing Arts has welcomed nearly 500,000 people since it opened last March.

It’s home to the Las Vegas Philharmonic, and a string of Broadway productions will take the stage this year.

About 1500 local students were invited yesterday to see the play “The Stinky Cheese Man.”
