(Carson City, NV) — Governor Brian Sandoval is questioning the cost of consultant work to expand a stretch of Interstate 15.
The state wants to spend $3 million on lawyers and accountants to help develop a plan that would widen the freeway between Sahara Avenue and downtown Las Vegas.
Sandoval, who sits on the state Transportation Board, says he doesn’t want money to pay for high-priced trips for consultants. Officials say costs will be watched closely.
The state is looking for a company to help fund the one-point-two-billion dollar I-15 expansion.
