Las Vegas – NASCAR offical pulled the plug on Friday’s qualifying rand practice due to heavy rain.

The Las Vegas motor Speedway got steady rain all morning Friday and again in the early afternoon after a brief break, forcing NASCAR to cancel practice qualifying for the first time in Las Vegas.

Last years Sprint Cup Champ Brad Keslowski will start on the pole Sunday in the Kobalt Tools 400. Sunday’s field will be set by points and the NASCAR rule book, giving the pole to last season’s Sprint Cup series champion.
