LAS VEGAS (AP, KXNT) — Both sides in the driver’s strike against Yellow Checker Star cab company met with a federal mediator Wednesday as a strike by about a thousand drivers moved into a fourth day.
KXNT”s Trevor Smith reports management and union officials began meeting this morning.
About 1,400 of the company’s 1,700 drivers are members of the Industrial Technical Professional Employees Union Local 4873. The union struck over the weekend. Earlier about 70% of the drivers rejected a contract offer.
The union says wages, hours and working conditions were the main sticking points of previous talks.
