LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas police say they’ve arrested a man accused of strangling his father before leaving town for Southern California.
Police say they worked with the Los Angeles police fugitive team to arrest 27-year-old Christopher Henderson-Reid Wednesday night.
A police report says a fellow resident at a Boulder Highway apartment complex heard a commotion in the unit above him on Tuesday night, and reported it to a security officer.
The officer found broken glass inside, and the son sitting on top of the father. Both men reportedly said they were OK.
Police say the son later visited a woman and told her he killed his father.
A security officer found the father dead with a wallet chain and a phone cord nearby. The report identifies the victim as John Henderson.
