Las Vegas – MGM Resorts announced Friday morning plans to build a 20,000-seat indoor arena on Strip, behind the Monte Carlo and New York-New York.

MGM Resorts said the facility would be built with private funding and in partnership with arena developer AEG, which operates several sports arenas around the country including the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
