(Las Vegas, NV) — A reality TV star’s photo has mistakenly been issued by Metro Police as a person of interest in last week’s deadly shooting on the Strip.

Detectives had sought Tineesha Howard for questioning, but a photo sent out by police was that of Tasha Brooke Malek, who’s featured on the Oxygen Network’s “Bad Girls Club: New Orleans.”

According to a written statement from Metro, “She is not connected with the murder at all. Ms. Malek said the Las Vegas police also mistakenly identified her as a prostitute.”

Malek has hired Miami Beach attorney Michel Grieco to assist her. Mr. Grieco has been in constant contact with the Las Vegas Police to retract the story.

Police say Tineesha Howard, whose real name is Yenesis Alfonzo, is no longer a person of interest. She was located and interviewed by LVMPD detectives in another state Wednesday night. Alfonzo has confirmed that she was in the vehicle at the time of the shooting.
