Sex Suspect Had Contact In Youth Basketball League

(Las Vegas, NV) –Police sources confirm to KXNT that there is now at least one additional accuser in the case of  David James, the Bible study leader charged with sexual assault and lewdness.

In filing nine additional charges of lewdness and child sexual assault in recent days, police say the accusations result from James’ participation in a youth basketball league which includes kids as young as seven years old. is back in jail.

Metro Police have not elaborated on the name of the league.

James was initially arrested Jan. 7th by Metro detectives on a variety of sex-related charges  involving a child under 14. Later, additional charges originated in Henderson from another accuser.

“The investigators are concerned about there being much more and that he is much more prolific than this”, said Metro spokesman Marcus Martin this week.

Police continue to ask that any parent who believes their child came into contact with James in either the course of bible study or the youth league contact the sex crimes unit at Metro, Henderson Police, or Crimestoppers.
