(Nellis Air Force Base, NV) — You’ll be seeing and hearing more military aircraft over Southern Nevada for the next few weeks.

Starting today, Nellis Air Force Base hosts Red Flag training exercises.

Over 125 aircraft are scheduled to leave the northeast valley base twice a day, with planes staying in the sky for up to four hours.

Red Flag will also take place at the Nevada Test and Training Range outside Las Vegas.

The event uses simulated missions to train combat air forces.

Red Flag runs through March 15th.
