(Las Vegas, NV) — Safety improvements are expected around the “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign.
Clark County commissioners have asked staffers to build a crosswalk and stoplight near the iconic sign on the south end of the Las Vegas Strip.
The project is estimated to cost $300,000. It was chosen over an overhead pedestrian bridge, which would have cost about $2 million.
The crosswalk could be completed by early 2014.
