(Carson City, NV) — A new bill would require young people to wear a helmet if they ride a long skateboard.
Nevada state Senator Joe Hardy introduced the bill yesterday. It calls for parents to pay a $10 fine if their kids under 18 use a “longboard” without head protection.
Hardy, a Boulder City doctor, says he introduced the bill after a neighbor’s child was injured on an extended skateboard.
