(Las Vegas, NV) — Las Vegas Constable John Bonaventura claims his DUI arrest was a setup by county officials who want to remove him from office.

Bonaventura tells the “Las Vegas Review-Journal” he had only “one or two” drinks and was not legally intoxicated.

The Nevada Highway Patrol says Bonaventura failed a field sobriety test Tuesday night on U.S. 95 near Boulder Highway.

He was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence and speeding.
