(LAS VEGAS KXNT)–A man has been arrested on arson and attempted murder charges after an apartment building fire that displaced 23 people.
33 year old Salvador Hernandez was booked in connection with the fire at Sonoma Shadows apartments on Karen Avenue. One person was hospitalized for smoke inhalation, and damages in the fire are estimated at 400-thousand dollars.
A police report indicates the case stemmed from a domestic disturbance. A woman told officers that Hernandez was involved in a domestic incident two weeks ago and that she had obtained a protection order against him. She stated that Hernandez had been jailed, but was released last Thursday and began harassing her again. The woman and her sixteen year old son were in her apartment at the time of the fire.
