(Las Vegas, NV) — Local police are taking steps to protect their officers.

Both Las Vegas and Henderson police have ordered second officers in patrol cars, as the search continues for accused killer and former cop Christopher Dorner.

On Thursday, federal and local authorities searched Dorner’s home southwest of the Las Vegas Strip.

The FBI says no weapons were found at the home, but items inside the two-story house will be used to help develop leads.
