(North Las Vegas, NV) — A number of challengers are hoping to become the North Las Vegas mayor or one of the city’s councilperson.

North Las Vegas Mayor Shari Buck faces three challengers in the upcoming municipal elections. Former state Senator John Lee is running against Buck, along with teacher Mike Hunter and consultant Sharon Belger.

The top two vote-getters in April’s primary will go on to the general election in June.

On the city council, four candidates are looking to replace outgoing Councilman Robert Eliason in Ward One, while incumbent Anita Wood faces two candidates in her Ward Three district.

Early voting begins in March, with primary election day on April 2nd. The general election is June 4th.
