Las Vegas- Assemblyman Steven Brooks says he has been through a “month of hell.” In an interview with the “Review-Journal,” the Democratic lawmaker says he did not threaten to harm Speaker Marilyn Kirpatrick, and claims she came after him.

Brooks also alleges “gangsters” jumped him, and he was physically hurt. The lawmaker believes he will be found innocent, and vows to serve in the Legislature.
