(Las Vegas, NV) — Fewer Las Vegas Valley homeowners are fighting their property tax assessments.

County officials say there were 5600 appeals this year, a 25% drop from 2012, and far below the 2011 peak of just over 10,000 appeals.

Assessor Michelle Shafe says property values are showing an “upward trend” in many areas.
