(Las Vegas, NV) — Many parents are unhappy about rezoning plans for elementary school students in the southwest valley.
School district officials have come up with plans to ease overcrowding at five elementary campuses, affecting up to 2700 students.
Dozens of parents who attended a public meeting at Sierra Vista High last night said they didn’t want kids leaving their current schools.
Another rezoning meeting will be held tonight at Silverado High School.
The school board is expected to make a final decision in March.
