Gun Advocates For Both Sides Speak Out
(Las Vegas, NV) — Advocates for both sides of the gun issue held weekend events in Las Vegas.
Gun rights advocates rallied Saturday outside the downtown federal courthouse, part of the nationwide “Gun Appreciation Day.”
Meanwhile, supporters of tougher gun regulations protested outside a shooting range west of the Strip, where the National Rifle Association held what it called a “training event” for state lawmakers.
Members of the liberal group ProgressNow Nevada led the event at the entrance to Battlefield Vegas, suggesting the gathering amounted to a violation of the state’s open meeting law.
