Las Vegas – The Las Vegas 51’s , in conjunction with the Mets Media Relations Department, announced that that Wally Backman will return as manager for the Mets Triple-A affiliate for the 2013 season. Backman will begin his first season as manager of the 51’s, when they open their 31st season on Thursday, April 4 against the Sacramento River Cats.
