(Las Vegas, KXNT)–A liquor store clerk and a homeless man are both under arrest in the beating and stabbing death of a man found east of the Strip, the first case of homicide in the county in 2013.

Police say Kenneth Glossen, described as a transient, and Genao Padilla, a clerk at the store near Twain and Swenson, have been charged with murder in the death of Deng Kuangmabior, 30, who was beaten and stabbed with a pole after an  altercation in the store.

Police say store video shows the victim pointing the pole at the clerk, who took it away and chased after Kuangmabior. A witness told police that Padilla, the clerk, then beat the victim with the pole. Another man who happened on to the scene also began beating Kuantmabior.
