(Las Vegas, NV) — A two-year study on shootings involving Metro Police officers finds many cops have low morale and don’t believe the department has their backs.

The report, conducted by a UCLA consortium, finds many officers who feel they’re “being accused of something that they shouldn’t be accused of,” which translates into “negative behaviors on the street.”

The consortium has recommended more diversity training and rewarding officers who perform well.

Sheriff Doug Gillespie says he’ll follow the recommendations.
