(Las Vegas, NV) — Dozens of employees at the three Saint Rose Dominican Hospitals in Las Vegas and Henderson will soon be looking for work.
Officials say a combination of recession-related costs and lower government reimbursements for Medicaid and Medicare have led to the elimination of about 100 positions.
The cutbacks affect supervisory and support jobs, but not those directly related to patient care.
About 50 positions have been eliminated by attrition, with the remainder to be laid off within the next few weeks.
