Baseball Player Detained At McCarran
(Las Vegas, NV) — San Francisco Giants relief pitcher Sergio Romo has been cited for a loud argument at McCarran International Airport.
Metro Police spokesman Jose Hernandez says the 29-year-old Romo fought with another person in the security checkpoint at the Las Vegas facility on New Year’s Eve.
Romo was cited for “violating airport rules.” He was released and allowed to continue his trip.
In a statement, Romo apologized for “the recent events,” and promises to conduct himself in the “San Francisco Giants Way.”
