Boise, ID – Boise State will reportedly remain in the Mountain West Conference. According to sources the Broncos will not join the Big East Conference in 2013.
Boise State will remain a Mountain West member in all sports instead of joining the Big East in football and the Big West in all other sports. Even though the Broncos never officially played in the Big East, they will still have to pay a 10-million-dollar exit fee to the conference.
The Mountain West is expected to help pay that fee, according to the report.
This another huge blow for the Big East, who has had 14 schools announce they were leaving the league in the past two years.
