LAS VEGAS (AP) — The 26-year-old mother of two of three young children killed in a Las Vegas mobile home fire last June is behind bars on felony murder and child abuse charges.
Records show that Amy Hatzenfiller is jailed on $600,000 bail after being arrested Thursday in a neighborhood not far from Nellis Air Force Base.
Hatzenpiller and 22-year-old Shane Gouailhardou were indicted last week on felony charges that could get them decades in prison.
Gouailhardou was the father of one of the children who perished and has been arrested. All the children were under age 2.
Authorities believe the two unmarried adults were too impaired by methamphetamine to rescue the children from the burning mobile home at a trailer park in an industrial area several miles northeast of downtown Las Vegas.
