(Carson City, NV) — Nevada retailers gained ground for the 28th consecutive month. The state Department of Taxation says taxable sales rose 4.3% in October, compared to a year earlier.

Auto and clothing sales led the charge, but downturns were reported in bars and restaurants, furniture sales and general merchandise.

Clark County retailers saw taxable sales rise by more than 5%.
