(Carson City, NV) — One Nevada lawmaker wants his fellow members of the Legislature to give up their pay.
Freshman state Senator Mark Hutchison tells the “Las Vegas Sun” he will draft a bill, calling for members of the Assembly and Senate to forgo their $150 a day salary, and give it to Nevada’s public schools.
The Las Vegas Republican says his bill “sends the right signal to the public.”
Democratic Majority Leader Mo Denis calls it a “gimmick.
