(Las Vegas, NV) — NV Energy customers will enjoy slightly lower power bills next year.

The state Public Utilities Commission has approved the utility’s plan for new power sources and strategies over the next two decades.

Due to falling natural gas prices and a cut in the rate for energy conservation programs, the average customer’s bill will drop by nearly four-dollars a month.

NV Energy says slower population growth means it won’t have to build new generating plants before the year 2018.
