(Las Vegas, NV) — Governor Brian Sandoval is supporting a sales tax increase to put more cops on the street.
The “Las Vegas Sun” says in a statement, Sandoval said he would “sign this measure if it passes the 2013 Legislature.”
Metro Police wants lawmakers to approve a quarter-cent hike in the county sales tax to hire additional officers.
Clark County commissioners and the Las Vegas City Council endorsed the request earlier this week.
