SPARKS, Nev. (AP) — Sparks police say they’ve arrested a man on suspicion of murder after finding the body of a missing woman buried in his backyard.

Detectives say they found 50-year-old Kimberley Seaton’s body in a shallow grave after searching Thomas E. Brant’s home Monday night and Tuesday morning. Authorities say Seaton had been staying at Brant’s home.

Sparks Lt. Brian Miller tells the Reno Gazette-Journal that 57-year-old Brant admitted to the killing and was booked into the Washoe County Jail.

Sparks police announced Monday that they were looking for Seaton, after family members said they lost contact with her.
