The state Department of Transportation wants more drivers to buckle up.
(Carson City, NV) – The state Department of Transportation wants more drivers to buckle up. NDOT officials will ask the Legislature to pass a primary seat belt law, according to a report in the “Review-Journal”.
Currenly, officers can cite a driver only if he or she is pulled over for another violation.
So far this year, 88 people have died in Clark County traffic accidents, up more than 50% from 2011.
